Intensive Student Training Programs


Introduction:

Art or drama is not just for entertainment but it is an invention of serious study and enjoyment. With the establishment of the Drama Department of Deogiri College, students from urban and rural areas get acquainted with the subject of Drama. In order to give access to the study of music, classical music, folk art, etc., it was started in the year 2003. The direct objective of the Department of Drama is to provide new opportunities and meet the challenges of the age of modernization and globalization.

For the last several years, the Department of Drama has done a great job and for eight years in a row, it has won the Best Drama Group award and for three years in a row, the College Award. The Department of Drama won the first prize in the Purushottam Competition. The department has been organizing workshops, activities on various topics such as social awareness, drama camps, film festivals, filmmaking through drama.

The departments organize intensive training programs aiming at outstanding performance by the students of DCA. Following are few of the competitions and levels:
