  2. It aims to prepare students for undergraduate, post-graduate, and doctorate.
  3. It emphasizes to find solutions to many of our global challenges, such as antimicrobial resistance, emergence of new infectious diseases, and the health of our ecosystems.
  4. The department works to develop students in advanced studies, entrepreneurship and applying new ideas and technologies in biological sciences.
  5. The department provides an opportunity for hands-on training in various practically applied aspects of the microbiology like analysis of clinical samples, isolation and identification of microorganisms, their cultivation, preservation, molecular techniques, sterilization etc.

  2. Teach laboratory courses in such a manner that it provides students with basic knowledge of microorganism’s morphology, growth, their reaction to various growth media and their identification.
  3. Learning about practicing the safe and responsible handling of chemicals and microbial cultures in laboratory.
  4. Encouraging students to get involved in project works, study tours, seminars and social awareness programmes.
  5. To prepare graduate students for professional careers in microbiology.
