The Dept. of English of Deogiri College, Aurangabad, with the UG, PG, Ph. D. programmes and a few vital certificate courses recommended by the UGC has been ever progressing towards excellence. With an incredible history of more than six decades, the Dept. has been successfully constructing and deconstructinga compassionate community where students’ needs are of precedence and where there is a perfect blend of oriental and occidental values explored from language and literature. The core curriculum of UG and PG and the research areas for Ph. D. emphasize the attainment and application of knowledge, use of life skills, understanding literature and life, critical thinking and insights and trouble-shooting abilities for all the bonafide students of the dept. With an infinite capacity of hard-work and a spirited team with organic unity believes that every student of the dept is exclusive and exceptional with special abilities to learn how to live a meaningful life. We believe our conscientious efforts as the committed stake holders of language and literature to nurture and develop students’ maximum potential.
