Department of Political Science is one of the oldest department in Marathwada Shikshan Prasarak Mandal’s, Deogiri College, Aurangabad. The department established Under Graduate in 1965 and Post Graduate Course introduced 1998.
Political science is the systematic study of Political System. So Education Society introduces the one of the subject of Political Science in the faculty of social sciences. They established the department of Political Science with vision to educate the entire region of Marathwada this was known as backward areas of Maharashtra this department serving last 55 years with success. By opting this subject lot of students serving in the society.
(PG) Twenty Two years back it was need of an hour to introduce PG Course due the lacking of its availability in the lacking of its availability in the region. It was established in the academic year of 1998-99. Till more than One Thousand students passed and serving with success. A well qualified staff was recruited by college and arrange guest lectures. A well equipped library for helping hand for studding in research, guidance for MPSC, NET-SET and other competitive examinations.

Scope of Political Science
The concern to subject of Political Science describes its scope and importance from beginning to present era. What Mahatma Gandhi said “Politics or Political Science is pursuit for happiness and good life better opportunities and economic growth” and a Greek proverb proved the importance and scope aligned to beginning and end of human life that “Every thing is Political” a student can see the world through spectacles of said proverbs. A deep scope even established with the wording of Aristotle that “Human is Political being”. Well known scientist Albert Einstein “Politics is more difficult than Physics”.
We are living in extraordinary political times. Excellence and rigor in the study of Political science is crucial to helping multidisciplinary scholars, public servants and leaders find solution to the issues and problems that confronts us today.
