Welcome to Department of Botany
Department of Botany is one of the oldest departments of this College, established in 1960. In the Last few years, the department has achieved wide recognition in teaching undergraduate (Biodiversity Specialization) & Postgraduate (Biodiversity as Specialization) courses along with research and other activities. Besides the undergraduate and post-graduate courses, the Department of Botany is the department undertaken many Research Projects completed and few UGC sanctioned projects ongoing. The Department is a recognized Research Center by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, and is actively engaged in research work in Angiosperms, Taxonomy, Floristic, and Mycology. The college has taken initiatives towards social responsibility in the reclamation of soil quality by starting Bio-fertilizers and its production short-term course to develop self-financed skills in students of agricultural background BSc and MSc.
This Department is with a well-equipped University Recognized Research laboratory to facilitate students for research with different types of instruments.
